What is StrengthRegimen?
StrengthRegimen is a strength-training platform being built to provide practical, evidence-informed resources for people who want to understand, train, measure, and improve their strength.
The goal is not to replace qualified coaching or professional guidance. It is to create a reliable, transparent resource that helps lifters make more informed training decisions — whether that means understanding how a one-rep max estimate is calculated, assessing where they stand against meaningful benchmarks, or structuring a training program around sound principles.
Why does this exist?
Too much strength-training information online is scattered across dozens of websites, wrapped in marketing language, or presented without explanation of how the underlying methods actually work.
StrengthRegimen aims to address this by building a single platform where:
- Calculations are transparent — every formula is documented, and limitations are acknowledged rather than hidden.
- Standards are data-informed — benchmarks are based on available evidence rather than arbitrary opinion.
- Content is practical — educational material connects to real training decisions, not just theory.
- Tools are honest — estimates are clearly labeled as estimates, and assumptions are visible.
Our philosophy
StrengthRegimen is guided by a set of principles that shape every resource, tool, and article on the platform:
- Strength should be understandable. The concepts behind training do not need to be complicated. Clear explanations and transparent methods make the entire training process more accessible.
- Training should be measurable. If progress cannot be quantified, it is difficult to know whether a training approach is actually working. Measurement enables better decisions.
- Information should be practical. A number on a screen is only useful if it connects to a training outcome. Every tool and resource should help inform a real decision.
- Evidence should be respected. While practical experience matters, established research and validated methods provide important foundations that should not be ignored.
- Tools should be transparent. Users should be able to see exactly how calculations work, what assumptions are made, and where limitations exist.
What is planned?
StrengthRegimen is in active development. The platform is being built around a six-phase framework:
- Calculate — Strength calculators, one-rep max estimation, training max tools, and RPE/RIR resources.
- Assess — Strength standards, bodyweight-relative benchmarks, and performance comparisons.
- Plan — Programming principles, periodization, training volume, and intensity guidelines.
- Train — Exercise library, technique guides, and movement-specific resources.
- Track — Progression tracking, training logs, and performance analytics.
- Improve — Long-term development resources, training adjustments, and evidence-informed optimization.
Tools and features are released as they reach a standard of quality and accuracy that meets the platform's principles.
A note on claims
StrengthRegimen does not claim to be the largest, most popular, or most comprehensive strength resource. It is an ongoing project focused on doing this well rather than doing it first.
No coaching credentials, scientific authority, or institutional affiliations are claimed unless they actually exist. Content is clearly labeled when it represents general educational information rather than individualized advice.
